The Study Abroad program at UTS allows you to spend one or two semesters in Sydney studying at undergraduate or postgraduate level. A wide range of subjects is available across all nine faculties and one institute. These subjects will complement the course you are studying at your home institution or cover areas in which you have a particular interest. STUDENT SERVICES AND FACILITIES

UTS understands the diverse backgrounds and therefore the different needs of its students. UTS students enjoy a wide range of services and facilities. These include English language support, learning assistance centres, student and career counselling, health and housing services, sporting facilities, a peer support network, and student orientation.

Students have access to more than 29 general use computer laboratories with over 820 computers in addition to specialised faculty laboratories and library computer facilities. The UTS library houses more than 650,000 books, journals and audiovisual items as well as extensive media and language resources.

Sporting facilities available at UTS include a gymnasium and outdoor basketball/volleyball court. In addition, UTS students have access to Kookaburra Lodge at the foot of the Snowy Mountains. UTS students can also join one or more of the many social and sporting clubs that are part of the vibrant UTS city life.

LOCATION AND ACCOMMODATION

Three UTS campuses – City, St Leonards and Kuring-gai – are conveniently located in and around the city centre. All of Sydney's main attractions are just a short stroll or bus or train ride away. UTS is the perfect University from which to experience Sydney and Australia.

UTS is surrounded by popular student suburbs such as Surry Hills, Glebe and Newtown, and the majority of UTS international students choose to live in private accommodation in and around the city, often sharing with other students. However some students choose to live in a number of UTS student residences located only minutes from the City campus Accommodation for UTS students is organised by the UTS Housing Service who can find suitable temporary, private or University accommodation for new students.
