Student Testimonial

UQ Student Ranjini Shome

Ranjini Shome from India
Master of International Economics and Finance

I chose to study in Australia to experience the academic life which is quite different from the Indian system of education. UQ was amongst my list of top universities where I’d like to study due to its high rank in the THES [Times Higher Education Supplement] world ranking as well as its reputation in the field of research and academics.

‘Australia (and especially Brisbane) has been very warm and accepting. It has been like a “home away from home”. I have made excellent friends here who belong to different parts of the world. This has enabled me to understand and learn about various cultures and practices. Coming to Australia has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life.’
