Campus Locations

Swinburne University of Technology's Hawthorn and Prahran campuses are located in two prestigious inner city suburbs, around seven kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD. Both offer a shopping district next to the campuses with shops, supermarkets and an array of multicultural cuisine. A large network of public transport covers these campuses which are located within the inner city area Zone 1.

The Lilydale campus offers a beautiful natural setting and is located at the tip of the beautiful Yarra Valley, Melbourne’s premier wine making region. Croydon and Wantirna are located in Melbourne’s outer Eastern suburbs and provide a more unique experience for international students who wish to experience a smaller, cohesive campus. Student Profile

Marie-Laure Magnier

“I chose Swinburne because it offered me an interesting Bachelor of Arts program, as well as a great location. Glenferrie Road, on which the Hawthorn campus is located, is a great place to have a coffee or lunch between classes. Plus the campus is only ten minutes by train to the city. The fact that Swinburne’s campuses aren’t too big also contributes to making Swinburne a great place to study: by sharing a campus space with a limited number of students one can feel truly part of it, as well as a unique individual with enough space to express yourself.”
